I was raised in Cranford, NJ and became a self-taught computer programmer after graduating from Davidson College with a degree in political science. I worked in Greensboro, NC for about 10 years, then we relocated to Georgia when I joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
While working for the Fed, I developed my project management and executive management skills as I progressed through various leadership positions in the information technology area. I retired at the end of 2012 after twenty five years at the Fed; the last ten of which I was a vice president with responsibility for the software platform supporting the Fed's national check processing business. In that role, I managed a staff of approximately 100 IT professionals and an annual budget of approximately $10 million.
